Finis Africae: the philosophy
of our Resort in Senigallia
Finis Africæ is a Latin expression meaning “the frontier of Africa”, the limit that for centuries prevented people from coming into contact with knowledge beyond it. When explorers, conquerors and sailors crossed that border, new worlds, new cultures, new ethnic groups, new languages and new religions opened up.
Finis Africæ Resort has chosen this philosophy as an invitation to open up, to explore, to broaden our boundaries and go beyond them. A place of physical and metaphysical exploration, a space where awareness and research take shape, where you can simply be and stay.

Beyond the boundaries of knowledge
The art that furnishes our interiors comes from remote cultures, to explore the unknown, opening one's mind.
Finis Africæ is also Mirabilia Mundi, the wonders of the world housed on the premises of the resort: Cambodian terracotta, sofas from the island of Madura, an ancient portal from the island of Bali, and a large standing Buddha statue from Burma. All these elements have found their place in harmony, in a time and place far removed from those in which they were conceived and created.
Finis Africæ is like a book, its meanings go beyond the words that are written inside it and where every interpretation depends on whoever picks it up and flips through it. Nothing has been done by chance, and everything has a reason, like every coincidence and moment of one's life.
